Te Puke Newsweek is excited to share a fantastic opportunity for local photographers to have their work featured in the highly anticipated Katikati Calendar 2026.
Katch Katikati is searching for enthusiastic individuals to contribute their best shots to the annual calendar through the Katikati Calendar 2026 Photo Competition. Whether you’re an amateur with a smartphone or a seasoned pro with a DSLR, this is your chance to capture and share the essence of Katikati, reflecting the theme “Love Katikati.”
“We’re looking for photos that truly showcase the beauty of our town,” says a representative from Katch Katikati. “This could be anything from breathtaking scenic vistas and hidden natural gems to candid moments that highlight what makes Katikati a special place to live and visit.”

Competition Details You Need to Know:
- Who Can Enter? The competition is open to photographers of all ages!
- What to Photograph? The theme is “Love Katikati.” We’re looking for original photographs taken within Katikati. While photos without people are encouraged due to privacy, images with individuals will be accepted if appropriate permissions have been obtained.
- Photo Format: Your images should be suitable for printing in an A4 landscape format, so keep that in mind when composing your shots. Accepted file formats are JPEG or PNG, and your photo must meet a minimum resolution of 300 DPI for quality printing.
- How Many Photos Can I Submit? Each entrant may submit up to three photos.
- What’s the Prize? If your photo is selected, you’ll receive a free copy of the calendar and be credited for your amazing work!
Important Dates:
The competition is already underway, having started on July 27th, 2025. Make sure you get your entries in by 5:00 PM on August 17th, 2025.
How to Enter:

A judging panel will review all submissions and select 12 photos to be featured in the calendar, with one bonus image chosen for the cover. The Katikati Calendar 2026 will be available for sale at The Arts Junction and other approved outlets once printed.
